Description

This Andes Mint Fudge is a rich and creamy chocolate treat infused with minty Andes mints for a refreshing twist. With a smooth texture and vibrant mint flavor, this fudge is perfect for holiday gifting or a sweet indulgence. Easy to make with simple ingredients and no baking required, it sets perfectly in the fridge to provide delightfully minty chocolate squares.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Mint Layer

  • 1 cup chopped Andes mints (divided into half for mixing and half for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Pan: Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper to ensure easy removal of the fudge after it sets.
  2. Melt Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, semisweet chocolate chips, and unsalted butter. Stir continuously and gently heat until the mixture is completely melted and smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add Flavorings: Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the pure vanilla extract along with half of the chopped Andes mints to incorporate a minty flavor inside the fudge.
  4. Pour and Top: Pour the smooth fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chopped Andes mints evenly over the top for added texture and garnish.
  5. Chill and Set: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours until it firms up sufficiently. Once set, cut into 16 small squares and serve.

Notes

  • Line the pan well with parchment paper, allowing some to hang over edges to easily lift out the fudge.
  • Use low heat while melting to avoid burning the chocolate mixture.
  • Allow fudge to fully cool in the refrigerator for clean slicing and best texture.
  • Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  • You can substitute Andes mints with other mint chocolate candies if desired.
