Prawns:
- 1 ½ pounds large prawns, peeled and deveined with tails on
Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce (such as sambal oelek)
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Garnish:
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 fresh red chili, thinly sliced (optional)
- Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, chili sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Cook the Prawns: Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds. Add the prawns, cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Pour the sauce over the prawns, stir to coat, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with green onions, chili slices, and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
