Description

Indulge in a fun and delicious treat with this Brownie Dirt Pudding recipe. Layers of brownies, chocolate pudding, whipped topping, and Oreos come together to create a dessert that’s perfect for parties and kids.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownies:

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on package)

Pudding:

  • 2 packages (3.9 ounces each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 ounces) whipped topping (thawed)

Assembly:

  • 1 package (14 ounces) Oreo cookies (crushed)
  • gummy worms for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Brownies: Prepare and bake brownies in a 9×13-inch pan according to package directions. Let cool completely, then cut into small cubes.
  2. Make Pudding Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Fold in whipped topping until smooth and creamy.
  3. Assemble: In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the brownie cubes, half of the pudding mixture, and half of the crushed Oreos. Repeat layers, ending with crushed Oreos on top to resemble dirt. Garnish with gummy worms pushed slightly into the “dirt.”
  4. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute homemade brownies and pudding if desired.
  • For extra flavor, add chocolate chips to the brownies or a drizzle of hot fudge between layers.
  • Individual cups work great for parties and kids.
