Description
These Burger Bowls are a delicious low-carb alternative to traditional burgers, featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh veggies, cheese, and a flavorful burger sauce served over a bed of crisp lettuce.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Beef Patties:
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
For the Burger Bowls:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup sliced cucumber
- ½ cup sliced red onion
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup sliced dill pickles
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef Patties: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Form into 4 equal patties.
- Cook the Beef Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice or crumble into chunks.
- Make the Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle juice.
- Assemble the Burger Bowls: Divide lettuce among 4 bowls. Top each with tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, cheddar cheese, pickles, and beef. Drizzle with burger sauce and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a low-carb or keto version, skip the ketchup or use sugar-free ketchup.
- You can also replace ground beef with ground turkey or a veggie burger patty.
