Description

These Burger Bowls are a delicious low-carb alternative to traditional burgers, featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh veggies, cheese, and a flavorful burger sauce served over a bed of crisp lettuce.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef Patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

For the Burger Bowls:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • ½ cup sliced red onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sliced dill pickles
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Patties: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Form into 4 equal patties.
  2. Cook the Beef Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice or crumble into chunks.
  3. Make the Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle juice.
  4. Assemble the Burger Bowls: Divide lettuce among 4 bowls. Top each with tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, cheddar cheese, pickles, and beef. Drizzle with burger sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a low-carb or keto version, skip the ketchup or use sugar-free ketchup.
  • You can also replace ground beef with ground turkey or a veggie burger patty.
