Puff Pastry:
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
Cheese Filling:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1–2 jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

- optional: extra shredded cheese or chopped jalapeños for topping
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Filling: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapeños, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Prepare Pastry: Roll out puff pastry, spread filling, fold, and cut into strips. Twist each strip and place on the baking sheet.
- Egg Wash: Brush each twist with beaten egg and sprinkle with extra cheese or jalapeños.
- Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can make these ahead of time and reheat them in the oven for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
- For extra heat, leave some jalapeño seeds in or add a pinch of cayenne to the filling.
