For the Bread Bowls:
- 4 small round bread rolls (sourdough or similar)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Filling:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 1/2 cups Alfredo sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Prepare the Bread Bowls: Cut a circular opening in the top of each bread roll and hollow out the center to create a bowl. Mix melted butter, garlic, and parsley in a bowl. Brush the inside and top edges of the bread bowls with the garlic butter mixture.
- Bake the Bread Bowls: Place the bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 5–6 minutes until lightly crisped.
- Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
- Fill the Bread Bowls: Spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture into each toasted bread bowl. Top with extra mozzarella and Parmesan, if desired.
- Bake: Bake for an additional 10–12 minutes until hot and bubbly.
