Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Base
- 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Topping
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Glaze
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 to 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Shape the Dough. Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Carefully transfer the dough onto the prepared pan, ensuring an even thickness.
- Apply Butter. Brush the melted unsalted butter evenly over the surface of the dough, fully covering it to help the sugar and cinnamon stick and to add a rich flavor.
- Mix Cinnamon Sugar. In a small bowl, thoroughly combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until evenly blended.
- Add Cinnamon Sugar Topping. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture uniformly over the buttered dough, covering it without clumping.
- Bake the Pizza. Place the prepared pizza in the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the crust turns golden brown and is cooked through.
- Prepare Glaze. While the pizza bakes, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl until smooth to create a creamy glaze.
- Cool and Glaze. Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool slightly, about 5 minutes, so the glaze will set properly but the pizza remains warm.
- Drizzle and Serve. Evenly drizzle the prepared glaze over the warm pizza, slice into 8 pieces, and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- For extra flavor depth, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar mixture before sprinkling.
- You can substitute the powdered sugar glaze with a cream cheese glaze for a richer, creamier dessert option.
- Serve this pizza warm to enjoy the soft crust and melty glaze at their best.
