Description

These Cookies and Cream Rolls are a delightful treat featuring a decadent combination of chocolate sandwich cookies and creamy filling, all rolled up in a flaky dough. Perfect for breakfast or dessert!

Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

  • 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Other:

  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon crushed cookies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  3. Roll out the dough: Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with crushed cookies.
  4. Roll the dough: Starting from the long side, roll up the dough tightly into a log. Slice into 8 to 10 rolls and place cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Brush with melted butter and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze.
  7. Finish: Drizzle the glaze over warm rolls and sprinkle with extra crushed cookies. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra indulgence, add mini chocolate chips to the filling.
  • These rolls are best enjoyed the same day but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • You can also use puff pastry for a flakier version.
