Seafood and Garnish:

  • 8 ounces lump crab meat
  • 8 ounces medium shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Saute Aromatics: In a large pot, melt butter with olive oil. Add onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic.
  2. Add Flour: Whisk in flour and cook briefly.
  3. Make Base: Gradually add stock, cream, and wine. Season with Old Bay, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Simmer.
  4. Add Seafood: Stir in crab, shrimp, and tomato paste. Simmer until seafood is cooked.
  5. Finish and Serve: Stir in parsley, adjust seasoning, and serve hot with lemon wedges.
