Ingredients
Scale
Chicken:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Sauce:
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Optional red pepper flakes for garnish
Instructions
- Season Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Sear Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add broccoli florets and cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add Cheese: Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens slightly. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes until heated through.
- Serve: Serve hot with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
- Blanch broccoli beforehand if you prefer a softer texture.
