Ingredients
Scale
Beef
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional for extra crispiness)
Rice
- 2 cups cooked white rice
Vegetables
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
Toppings (optional)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- Soy sauce, for drizzling
- 1 fried egg (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef: Pat the thinly sliced beef dry with paper towels. Season with salt and black pepper. If using, toss the beef in cornstarch to help achieve a crispy texture when cooked.
- Cook the Beef: Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef slices in a single layer and cook without stirring for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden and crispy. Flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until crisped and cooked through. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
- Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add a splash of soy sauce for flavoring.
- Assemble the Bowl: In serving bowls, place cooked rice as the base. Top with sautéed vegetables and crispy beef slices.
- Add Toppings: Drizzle soy sauce over the bowl and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Optionally, top with a fried egg for extra richness.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately while hot for a delicious, flavorful meal.
