Description

This delicious and comforting Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna layers frozen cheese ravioli with seasoned ground beef, ricotta, mozzarella, spinach, and marinara sauce, all slow-cooked to bubbly perfection. A hands-off, easy lasagna recipe perfect for busy days and family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef

Sauces & Cheese

  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese

Pasta & Vegetables

  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped

Spices & Seasonings

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Others

  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat, then season the meat with garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the crockpot: Spray the bottom and sides of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Layer the base: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. First ravioli layer: Arrange half of the frozen ravioli over the marinara sauce in a single layer.
  5. Add ricotta: Spoon half of the ricotta cheese over the ravioli, spreading it gently to cover evenly.
  6. Add ground beef: Layer half of the seasoned cooked ground beef on top of the ricotta.
  7. Layer spinach: Sprinkle half of the chopped fresh spinach over the beef layer.
  8. Add sauce: Pour about half of the remaining marinara sauce over the spinach and spread it evenly.
  9. Add mozzarella: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
  10. Repeat layers: Repeat the layering process starting with the remaining ravioli, then ricotta, ground beef, spinach, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
  11. Top with Parmesan: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the final layer.
  12. Cook: Cover the crockpot and cook on low heat for 4 to 5 hours, or until ravioli are tender, cheese is melted, and the lasagna is bubbly.
  13. Serve: Once cooked, serve hot and enjoy. Optionally garnish with extra basil or Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • Ensure to use frozen ravioli directly; no need to thaw before layering.
  • Season the beef well to enhance the flavor of the dish.
  • Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your crockpot model; check tenderness at 4 hours.
  • For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with sautéed mushrooms or plant-based protein.
  • You can add extra fresh herbs on top when serving for a fresh flavor boost.
