Angel Beef Casserole:
- 12 oz angel hair pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Cream Cheese Mixture:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Additional:
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook Pasta: Cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook Beef: In a skillet, heat olive oil, cook ground beef until browned. Add onion, garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Assemble Casserole: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer pasta, cream cheese mixture, beef sauce. Repeat layers. Top with mozzarella.
- Bake: Cover with foil, bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil, bake an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the beef sauce.
- Leftovers reheat well in the oven or microwave.
