Description

Deviled Strawberries are a delightful and elegant dessert featuring fresh strawberries filled with a creamy, sweetened cream cheese and whipped cream mixture, topped with a crunchy graham cracker sprinkle. Perfect for parties or a refreshing treat, this no-bake recipe takes just 15 minutes to prepare and serves 12.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberries

  • 18-24 large strawberries

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional)

Topping

  • 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Cut off the stems from the strawberries and slice each one in half. Using a melon baller or small spoon, gently remove a small portion from the center of each half to create a hollow space for the filling.
  2. Whip Heavy Cream: In a clean mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. This will give the filling a light and airy texture.
  3. Mix Cream Cheese Filling: In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice (if using) until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the whipped heavy cream into the cream cheese mixture, being careful to maintain the fluffy texture.
  5. Fill Strawberries: Using a piping bag or a spoon, pipe or spoon the cream cheese filling into the hollowed center of each strawberry half.
  6. Add Topping and Serve: Sprinkle the filled strawberries with crushed graham crackers for added texture and flavor. Serve immediately for the best freshness.

Notes

  • For a tangier filling, omit the sour cream and increase cream cheese to 12 oz.
  • Use fresh strawberries that are firm and ripe for the best flavor and presentation.
  • The lemon juice is optional but adds a nice brightness to the filling.
  • If you prefer, the filled strawberries can be chilled for 30 minutes before serving but consume within the same day to maintain freshness.
  • This recipe is best enjoyed fresh as the graham crackers may soften over time.
