  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (plus more for the pan)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Dry Ingredient Preparation: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Wet Ingredient Mixing: In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Batter Preparation: Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Let the batter rest for 20–30 minutes.
  4. Cooking the Crepes: Heat a nonstick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter. Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the pan and quickly swirl to coat the bottom evenly. Cook for 1–2 minutes or until the edges start to lift and the bottom is set. Flip and cook the other side for another 30 seconds. Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
  5. Serving: Serve warm with whipped cream, berries, Nutella, or your favorite toppings.
