- 1/3 cup unsalted butter (softened)
For the glaze:
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add softened butter, eggs, salt, and half the flour; mix until combined. Gradually add remaining flour and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into a 16×12-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over dough and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Roll up tightly from the long side and cut into 12 slices. Place rolls in a greased 9×13-inch pan, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake rolls for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- For extra fluffy rolls, let them rise for an additional 20–30 minutes before baking.
- You can prepare the rolls the night before, refrigerate, and bake in the morning.
