Dough:

- 1 teaspoon salt

Additional:
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Stir in flour, salt, and melted butter, then knead the dough for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Rise the Dough: Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 45–60 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Shape and Boil: Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Divide the risen dough into 6 pieces, roll each into a rope, cut into 1-inch bites. Boil in water with baking soda.
- Bake: Transfer the boiled pretzel bites to the baking sheets, brush with egg wash, sprinkle with salt, and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve: Enjoy the pretzel bites warm with your preferred dipping sauce.
