Spaghetti or Pasta:
- 12 ounces spaghetti or pasta of choice
Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Additional Ingredients:
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
- Prepare Garlic Butter Sauce: Melt butter in a pot, add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook until fragrant.
- Combine Ingredients: Return pasta to pot, add reserved water, toss with butter and garlic. Mix in Parmesan cheese and parsley.
- Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper, garnish with extra cheese and parsley. Serve hot.
