Description

Garlic Cheeseburger Bites are a delicious appetizer or party snack featuring seasoned ground beef patties topped with melted cheddar cheese, nestled in small dinner rolls brushed with flavorful garlic butter. Ready in just 25 minutes, these bites are perfect for casual gatherings or game day treats.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Patties

  • 1 lb ground beef (85% lean or higher)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Assembly

  • 12 small dinner rolls (or slider buns)
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese (cut in half to fit the rolls)

Garlic Butter

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the assembled cheeseburger bites.
  2. Prepare the beef: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all seasonings are evenly incorporated without overworking the meat.
  3. Shape the beef patties: Form the seasoned beef mixture into 12 small patties, each about the size of the slider buns to ensure a perfect fit.
  4. Cook the beef patties: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are browned and cooked through. Remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside.
  5. Prepare the garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the minced garlic until well combined.
  6. Assemble the bites: Place each cooked beef patty on the bottom half of a dinner roll. Top each patty with half a slice of cheddar cheese. Brush the tops of the rolls with the garlic butter mixture, then place the top halves of the buns on the patties.
  7. Bake: Arrange the assembled buns on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the tops of the buns are lightly toasted.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Choose ground beef with at least 85% lean content for best flavor and juiciness.
  • If you prefer spicier bites, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture.
  • Use good quality cheddar cheese for optimal melting and flavor.
  • These bites can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Substitute dinner rolls with slider buns or small sandwich rolls as desired.
