Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Make the sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
- Toss pasta and chicken: Add the cooked pasta and chicken back into the skillet. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and chicken evenly with the creamy sauce.
- Finish and serve: Cook for an additional 2 minutes to warm through. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving hot.
