Description

This Ground Beef Casserole is a comforting and hearty dish that’s perfect for a family meal. Layers of seasoned ground beef, creamy cheeses, and tender noodles, all baked to cheesy perfection.

Ground Beef Mixture:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce

Cheese Mixture:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese

Additional Ingredients:

  • 8 oz egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet, cook beef, onion, garlic until browned. Drain excess grease. Add salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and tomato sauce. Simmer.
  3. Prepare Cheese Mixture: Combine sour cream and cottage cheese in a bowl.
  4. Layer Ingredients: In a greased baking dish, layer noodles, sour cream mixture, beef mixture, and cheddar cheese. Repeat layers.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil, bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley if desired.
