  • 1 can (14 oz) hearts of palm, drained and chopped
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Other:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a bowl, combine hearts of palm, cream cheese, Dijon mustard, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Assemble the hand pies: Roll out the puff pastry, cut into rectangles, spoon filling onto half of each piece, fold over, seal with a fork, brush with egg wash, and vent the tops.
  4. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  5. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
