Description

Crunchy homemade potato chips served with a creamy Gorgonzola cheese sauce, a perfect party appetizer or snack for any occasion.


Ingredients

Potato Chips:

  • 3 large russet potatoes (thinly sliced)
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives (optional)

Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potato Chips: Wash and thinly slice the potatoes. Rinse and pat dry. Heat oil to 350°F and fry the slices until golden and crisp.
  2. Make the Gorgonzola Sauce: Melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk. Stir in Gorgonzola and garlic powder until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Serve: Drizzle the warm chips with Gorgonzola sauce and garnish with chives.

Notes

  • You can make the chips ahead and re-crisp them in a 350°F oven for a few minutes before serving.
  • The Gorgonzola sauce also works well with fries, roasted vegetables, or steak.
