Cream Cheese Mixture:

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Layering:

  • 1 cup salsa (chunky preferred)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth and well blended.
  2. Layering: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch dish. Spoon salsa on top and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving with tortilla chips.
