For the Margarita:
- 2 ounces silver tequila
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce triple sec (or orange liqueur)
- 1/2 ounce lavender simple syrup
- Ice
- Lemon wheel and lavender sprig for garnish
- Optional sugar for rimming the glass
Instructions
- Rim the Glass: If desired, rim your glass with sugar by rubbing a lemon wedge around the edge and dipping it into a plate of sugar.
- Prepare the Margarita: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, lemon juice, triple sec, and lavender simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled.
- Strain and Serve: Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a sprig of fresh or dried lavender. Serve immediately.
Notes
- To make lavender simple syrup: Combine 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stir until sugar dissolves, then let steep for 10–15 minutes. Strain and cool before using. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
