Scale
Fries and Cheese
- 1 bag (28 oz) frozen French fries
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Toppings
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare and Bake Fries: Preheat the oven according to the French fries package directions. Spread the frozen fries evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
- Cook Bacon: While the fries are baking, cook the bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels, then crumble into small pieces and set aside.
- Assemble Loaded Fries: Once the fries are cooked, transfer them to a large oven-safe dish or sheet pan. Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the fries, followed by the crumbled bacon on top.
- Melt Cheese: Return the fries to the oven and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
- Add Fresh Toppings and Serve: Remove the loaded fries from the oven. Top with sliced green onions, a drizzle of sour cream, and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley if using. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add jalapeño slices, diced tomatoes, or ranch dressing on top.
- Swap regular fries for waffle fries or sweet potato fries for a twist.
- Serve with extra sour cream or your favorite dipping sauce on the side for additional indulgence.
