Description

Indulge in a plate of irresistibly delicious Loaded Cheese Fries that are perfect as a party appetizer or a game day snack. Crispy seasoned fries topped with a blend of melted cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses, crispy bacon, tangy sour cream, and fresh green onions.

Ingredients

Scale

Fries:

  • 1 bag (28 oz) frozen seasoned French fries
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Toppings:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Optional: jalapeño slices or diced tomatoes for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the fries: Toss frozen fries with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  4. Add cheese: Transfer fries to a dish, sprinkle cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over them. Bake for 5–7 minutes until melted.
  5. Top and serve: Top with bacon, sour cream, green onions, and optional toppings. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Try using waffle or curly fries for extra texture.
  • Ranch dressing or chipotle aioli can be served on the side for dipping.
  • To make it vegetarian, omit bacon or use plant-based crumbles.
