Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add wet ingredients: Beat in maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine and bake: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
- Make icing: Whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and salt until smooth.
- Ice the cookies: Drizzle or spread the icing over cooled cookies. Allow to set before serving.
