Description

Creamy and indulgent Oreo Cheesecake Cookie Cups featuring a crunchy Oreo crust and a luscious cream cheese filling, topped with whipped cream and optional mini chocolate chips. Perfect bite-sized treats for dessert lovers.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust

  • 20 Oreo cookies
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

For Topping

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Extra crushed Oreo cookies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush 20 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing with a rolling pin. Mix the crumbs with melted unsalted butter until well combined.
  2. Form Bases: Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. Press about one tablespoon of the Oreo mixture firmly into the bottom of each liner to create an even crust layer.
  3. Prepare Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until fluffy and smooth. Add sour cream and mix until fully incorporated. If desired, gently fold in mini chocolate chips to add extra texture and flavor.
  4. Fill and Bake: Spoon the cheesecake filling over the prepared Oreo crust in each muffin liner until nearly full. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until the cheesecake cups are set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  5. Cool and Chill: Remove the cups from the oven and allow them to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate until thoroughly chilled and firm, about 2-3 hours or overnight.
  6. Add Toppings: Before serving, top each cheesecake cup with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with extra crushed Oreo cookies for garnish and added crunch.

Notes

  • Make sure cream cheese is softened to room temperature for a smooth filling without lumps.
  • Do not overbake; the cheesecake cups should be slightly jiggly in the center to remain creamy.
  • Refrigerating overnight enhances the flavor and texture.
  • For a richer flavor, use full-fat sour cream and whipped cream.
  • Mini chocolate chips are optional but add delightful bursts of chocolate.
