For the noodles:
- 200 g flank steak, thinly sliced
- 200 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 250 g egg noodles or lo mein noodles
For the sauce:
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp mirin or rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the noodles: Prepare the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, mirin, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Stir-fry ingredients: Heat oil in a skillet, cook steak, then shrimp. Remove and set aside.
- Cook vegetables: Stir-fry bell pepper and broccoli until tender.
- Combine and finish: Return steak, shrimp, and noodles to the skillet. Add sauce, toss to combine. Thicken with cornstarch slurry. Garnish and serve.
Notes
- You can substitute flank steak with sirloin or ribeye, and use snow peas or carrots for added variety.
- For a spicy kick, add chili flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
