Bread:
- 4 slices thick-cut bread (like sourdough or Italian)
Filling:
- 1 cup cooked spaghetti (tossed with a little marinara sauce)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Seasoned Butter:
- 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Seasoned Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Spread the seasoned butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Place two bread slices, buttered side down, on a skillet. Layer with mozzarella, sauced spaghetti, Parmesan, and remaining mozzarella. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Cook: Heat skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese melts. Rest for 1-2 minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
- Use day-old spaghetti for easier handling.
- For extra flavor, add pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms, or crushed red pepper to the filling.
