  • 8 ounces lo mein or egg noodles

Meat and Seafood:

  • ¾ pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • ¾ pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Prepare noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.
  3. Cook the steak: Toss sliced steak with cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry in oil until browned; set aside.
  4. Cook the shrimp: In the same pan, cook shrimp until pink; set aside.
  5. Sauté aromatics and vegetables: In the pan, sauté garlic, ginger, bell pepper, and snap peas.
  6. Combine ingredients: Return steak and shrimp to the pan. Add noodles and sauce. Toss to combine and heat through.
  7. Garnish and serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
