Description

Mushroom Mixture:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 pound cremini or white mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion, finely diced

Dip:

  • 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté mushrooms: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook until browned. Add garlic and onion, cook until softened.
  3. Prepare dip: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, mozzarella, thyme, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir in mushroom mixture and half of the parsley.
  4. Bake: Transfer dip to a baking dish, bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Serve: Sprinkle with remaining parsley before serving.
