Ingredients
Scale
Peanut Sauce
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1–2 tsp sriracha (optional, for spice)
- ¼ cup warm water (to thin)
Wrap Filling
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
- ½ cup red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
Instructions
- Make the peanut sauce: In a bowl, whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, lime juice, honey, sesame oil, and sriracha. Gradually add warm water, stirring until the sauce is smooth and pourable.
- Prepare filling: In a large bowl, toss the shredded cooked chicken with half of the peanut sauce until the chicken is evenly coated, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Assemble wraps: Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Evenly distribute the chicken mixture, shredded carrots, cabbage, red bell pepper slices, and chopped cilantro onto each tortilla. Drizzle with the remaining peanut sauce for extra flavor.
- Wrap & serve: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly to enclose the filling. Slice in half if desired and serve immediately for a fresh and tasty meal.
Notes
- For a spicier wrap, increase the amount of sriracha or add sliced fresh chili peppers.
- Use gluten-free tortillas if you require a gluten-free option.
- Grilled chicken can add an extra smoky flavor if preferred over shredded cooked chicken.
- These wraps can be prepared ahead of time by assembling and wrapping tightly, then refrigerating for up to 24 hours.
- Add chopped peanuts or sesame seeds for added crunch.
