Crust:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Topping:
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix Crust: In a medium bowl, mix butter, flour, brown sugar, and salt to form a crumbly dough. Press into pan.
- Bake: Bake crust for 15 minutes until golden. Add pecans, then pour and spread caramel. Bake for another 10–12 minutes.
- Add Chocolate: Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot caramel, let melt, then spread evenly.
- Cool and Cut: Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
