- 1 pound spicy sausage (pork or chicken)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
- 1 1/2 cups Bisquick or baking mix
Seasonings:
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
For Serving:
- Ranch or spicy dipping sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine sausage, cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, Bisquick, hot sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix until fully incorporated.
- Roll the Balls: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving with ranch or spicy dipping sauce.
Notes
- You can substitute cheddar cheese for pepper jack for a milder version.
- These can be made ahead and frozen before baking—just add a few extra minutes of bake time straight from frozen.
